EMINENT is a modern and contemporary restaurant near Dosan Park in Apgujeong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. Professional chefs from various fields work hand in glove to serve dishes with culinary aesthetics and cultural diversity. EMINENT offers a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere reminiscent of a café in Europe with a modern and sophisticated interior design and high ceilings. The wine list carefully selected by a professional sommelier has 130 different wines that anyone can easily enjoy. It has a modern and warm atmosphere in which customers can relax and feel comfortable while enjoying delicacies and wine.
에미넌트]는 서울 강남구 압구정동 도산공원 인근에 모던 컨템포러리 레스토랑으로 여러 분야의 전문 셰프들이 의기투합해 요리 미학과 다양한 문화가 깃든 음식을 선보입니다. 에미넌트는 모던하고 세련된 느낌의 인테리어 디자인, 높은 천정은 고객들로 하여금 유럽의 카페를 떠올리게 하는 여유롭고 편안한 분위기를 지니고 있습니다. 전문 와인 소믈리에가 엄선하여 고른 와인 리스트에는 누구나 쉽게 다가갈 수 있는 1백30여 종이 구비하고있고, 고객이 여유롭고 편안한 분위기에서 음식과 와인을 즐길 수 있도록 모던하고 따뜻한 분위기를 지니고 있습니다.
THE OBJECTIVE
목적
YNL Design made it a goal of the project to develop a brand identity that considers EMINENT's unique, more relaxed, and comfortable atmosphere and the modern and sophisticated interior design. In particular, we intended to develop a brand identity with a unique yet sophisticated high-end vibe based on the brand concept, 'Modern Contemporary Restaurant,' to express a new dining experience that involves a variety of wines and delicacies, using visual brand elements.
YNL Design은 에미넌트가 지니고 있는 특유의 더 여유롭고 편안한 분위기와 모던하고 세련된 느낌의 에미넌트의 모던하고 세련된 느낌의 인테리어 디자인을 고려한 브랜드 아이덴티티를 개발하는 것을 프로젝트의 목표로 삼았습니다. 특히 'Modern Contemporary Restaurant’이라는 브랜드 컨셉에서 영감을 얻어 유니크하면서도 세련된 하이엔드 (High-end)감성의 브랜드 아이덴티티를 개발하여 고객들에게 다양한 와인과 음식을 즐길 수 있는 새로운 다이닝 경험을 시각적인 브랜드 요소로 표현하고자 했습니다.
THE SOLUTION
해결방안
Inspired by the concept of 'Modern Contemporary Restaurant,' YNL DESIGN created a new dining experience for customers and delicacies by developing a unique yet sophisticated high-end brand identity. The wordmark in a minimal sans serif typeface, which breaks away from the classic feeling, creates a moderate and sophisticated sensibility while harmonizing with the contemporary dining concept. We developed a unique wordmark, in which the word WINE is hidden, by combining M with W among the letters of ‘EMINENT.’ Also, we developed a motif based on the inspiration we had from the shapes and colors of finishing materials used in the EMINENT space, such as marble, bronze, and limestone. This motif is applied to each application and blends naturally into the restaurant's interior.
YNL DESIGN에서는 'Modern Contemporary Restaurant’이라는 컨셉에서 영감을 얻어 유니크하면서도 세련된 하이엔드 (High-end)감성의 브랜드 아이덴티티를 개발하여 고객분들에게 음식과 함게하는 새로운 다이닝 경험을 창출하였습니다. 기존 클래식한 분위기에서 탈피한 미니멀한 산세리프 서체의 워드마크는 컨템포러리 다이닝 컨셉에 어우러지면서 절제되고 세련된 감성을 자아냅니다. ‘EMINENT’의 레터 중 M을 W와 결합하여 WINE이라는 단어가 숨겨져 있는 유니크한 워드마크를 개발하였습니다. 또한 에미넌트 공간에 활용된 마감재인 마블, 브론즈, 라임스톤 등의 형태와 색상에서 영감을 얻어 모티브를 개발하였습니다. 이러한 모티브는 각 어플리케이션에 적용되어 레스토랑 인테리어와 자연스럽게 어우러집니다.
